"The Crevace Market rested on the sea floor, nestled deeply in the rift below the city. Peddlers, Merfolk and Fishfolk alike, met peacefully within the city walls and offered their wares.

The edge the Merfolk had over their competitors was anything but fair, however. Frequent trips to the surface, and interaction with the inhabitants above, often yielded treasures unheard of from dry land. Legged beings too often steered their ships into the jagged rocks that broke just above the surface, beckoned by merfolk hymns. Such treasures, antiquities and wares would spill into the ocean, to be rounded up by the beckoners at no risk to themselves.

The Fishfolk of Crevace Market remained a stout, proud species. They did not resort to tricks and roguery to bring their wares. Honest labor in the deeps brings their treasures, places far too dangerous for Merfolk to risk, these were the farmlands they tended. And this year, the bounty was most fruitful.

Blackened pearls, hardened by the pressure of the deep waters. Aboleth teeth, fresh from a carapace scavenged as quickly as it fell. Scales of a dragon turtle, and even more impressively, it's shell.

Such a duality brought to this sunken market. Wares from above and below, truly something for anyone and everyone. One could even remember the occasional surface dweller making the journey for such treasures and trinkets that may be found."
