This is a little different but this is just me recording my thoughts after a hard mental health day. It usually this type of reflection that allows me to write the instagram posts I do. Obviously I am not perfect. but if you wanna just sit and sort of talk with me.... this is me.

This is lovely! I tend to think of mental health like the weather, you can prepare for it but you can't change it and although it might suck sometimes plans need to be canceled because of rain but that doesn't mean it wont be sunny again tomorrow

Thank you for being so open about this. It can be so hard to tell ourselves it’s okay to rest or to have a bad day, I feel it’s important to remember that feelings will fluctuate; VALUE does not❤️

You're doing amazing!! Stuff like that is normal and plenty common! And always remember, if you're making progress in anything and it just stops or takes a step back, it DOES NOT negate the progress you've already made and maybe it's just your body telling you that you need to give it some more time or rest! Regardless, you've got this and you are AMAZING!!

The people here and those you surround yourself with are here to support you. It's true that some days are hard, I get stuck in my head and isolate myself from everybody. I end up putting myself into a depression for days sometimes even weeks. Sometimes i can pull myself out of it and other times it's the kindness friends, loved ones and even strangers that get me through it. You are loved bukkit, we believe in you!😊

You are so amazing Bukkit! Thank you for saying these things. Sometimes we forget that even on the bad days we aren't worthless. I hope you have more wonderful days then bad. Love you Bukkit! Keep being such a wonderful person. It really matters.

Thank you for posting this. I've been feeling the same way today, feeling lethargic and depressed after such a good day yesterday. Your words really helped me understand that it's normal. Keep being awesome!

1000% you are right! It's definitely tougher some days more than others...i really appreciate these words. It helps to know others go through the same. And it warms my heart to see people supporting you too. Hope tomorrow is better for you

Progress not Perfection! You honestly have the right mindset and are saying/thinking the right things. Just remember the small wins count too! Like if you’re just in bed and manage to get up for a drink that’s a win, if you manage to just go outside to check your mailbox that’s a win, making this audio that’s a win and they all add up.

Thank you for putting this into words 🥰

Okay this sucks, but I totally agree. I’ll have days where I can’t believe how productive I am, then days where I can’t do anything. It sucks, but you need to actively appreciate the good days, and fight through the bad ones. Either way, don’t get mad at yourself for the bad days. You’re not a bad person just because you had a bad day. It’s okay. Keep killing it

Spiffmode

Thank you. We all have off days and we all have great unproductive days. Try not to beat yourself up for having a bad day (but honestly keep an eye on them because they can string together into depression). You bring joy to so many people, I believe in you even if you can't today.

This is so true. It took me a long time to realize not feeling up to it is a valid reason for breaking plans or ducking out early at the very least. While you should try to push whenever possible to lift your spirits, when you are REALLY not feeling to it... It's ok. Just like a sudden change in weather, it really is out of your control.

Raymond Lee

Don't YOU forget we all have a support system available if you need it. Hold yourself to the standards you would hold a love one to. You are special, but that doesn't mean your needs are any less valid than anyone else.

So I just want to say that I too understand. I have been for about a year now I have been breaking even with good and bad days. I know that's allowed but it is hard. I know I'm not alone (I mean obviously I'm not) and neither are you. For me, I have really been struggling to have more than one thing going well at once. If I am doing well in school, then my physical well-being is taking a hit and I am unemployed. If I'm employed, school isn't going well and I don't have the energy to exercise. If I'm exercising that's the only thing going well. I was losing weight for months through Noom and then all of a sudden I stopped. Even though I was exercising well for a good portion of the day, I wasn't happy. What I have learned is, I need to hold myself to the same standard I would hold someone else in my position. We beat ourselves up for not being better but if our loved ones weren't feeling well we wouldn't be angry but sympathetic and concerned for them we would try to at least be understanding. So how can we be upset with ourselves? You may be special, but you have just as much right to have an off day as anyone else does. Thank you for sharing and being vulnerable with us.
