March Summary + April and Beyond (Patreon)
Content
Not going to do the whole song and dance this time about goals I achieved last month and goals I want to achieve this month. To put it simply:
Last month's goals are now this month's goals.
It took me forever to get those two requests out, and I have two more requests to get done as well. So the start of this month is a 1 for 1 mirror and where I was at the start of March.
The difference is though:
I'm not moving this month.
My computer isn't going to have to be reset this month. (re-dowloading fonts and setting up photoshop settings was actually a huge time sink.)
I'm not going to be running all over town trying to sell junk from my apartment this month.
I'm not trying to make excuses for last month, just letting you know that this month will be different. I apologize once again for the lack of content last month. I really regret that I couldn't finish 'Disastrous Delivery' until early morning on April 1. Also I think that posting WIP was a good compromise for the $10 tier, but it wasn't the 'early comic release' that was promised in the tier description. This is probably what I feel the worst about when it comes to last month. I already gave the $10 tier very few benefits for the price, especially since requests were delayed, so not being able to deliver on literally the only thing that was promised, early comics, was a feels bad moment for sure. I'm always thinking of how we can all enjoy these AI comics together, and I hope that shows from the polls, updates, and user engagement.
I want it to be known though, part of the reason for the delays is that my standards are increasing. I hope it shows that my production value is all-around improving. Better editing, larger images, better group shots (real proud of those wedding shots in the last story,) and longer overall stories. The last 40 images of the delivery story probably took over 30 hours to make and caption. With nearly every image being edited and cleaned up to look more consistent. Keeping the main characters clothes somewhat consistent was a real challenge as well, as enhancing the image sometimes adds flowers or buttons, changes clothes and expressions, etc. etc. In the end though, I'm really glad with how it turned out, and I learned a lot of new techniques for making stories in the future.
Let me know how you feel on the "face-cut-in boxes" I put in the images from time to time. It's a huge time saver because I don't have to generate group shots all the time, and I think the result is fairly 'clean-looking.'
Honestly one of my biggest challenges going forward is going to be keeping the requests short and sweet rather than sooo long. I liked how the delivery story rushed straight into the lewd scenes while still having traditional dress-up scenes too. Unlike the convention story which had way too much setup for its own good. (I still liked that one though.)
If these next two requests end up taking me too long, I might just get rid of the whole request system in general. Or maybe lower it to the bare minimum of 5-15 images, like what it was meant to be from the start. If I were to abolish requests completely than the tier would change price of course. I'll talk about that later on though.
For now, look forward to a month of lots of cutesy art about guys being forced to wear lady clothes. I should have the time to make a whole lot of it.
