Having a Real Problem... (Patreon)

I orignally planned on just uploading captioned versions of gyaru and the ballerina story up today/yesterday, but instead I took a real crack at fixing this NovelAI enhance problem.
I tried clearing the cache, resetting the browser, switching browsers, restarting my PC, changing wifi (and locations,) disabling my firewall, switching settings and image sizes on novelai.net/image, and even messing with task manager priorities to try and allocate more resources to google chrome.
Nothing worked. Honestly I'm at my wits end right now. Am I going to have to replace my gaming laptop with a cheapy notebook so I can enhance images again?Or factory reset and reinstall everything? I have no idea why this is happening.
WHY THIS MATTERS:
So normally the images generated are really small, (512x768) but they cost 0 "anlas." Anlas being the premium novelai resource of which I get 10k a month for the highest tier subscription.
So I'll generate dozens of free images until I find one that's kind of close to what I'm looking for, then I'll start changing parameters very slightly and using the "enhance" to double the size and quality on any image that can potentially be a keeper. The enh costs 22 anlas. Sometimes it'll take multiple enhances to get an image I like, so it could take anywhere between like 22 and 110 anlas per big image.
Take the enh away, and I'm spending 18-25 Anlas per generation just gambling on finding an image that works. So 400-600 generations and I'm out of resources for the month. It easily takes me 400-600 generations to finish a single part 1 of a captioned story.
Using the small option to find a good pose and then switching to the larger size doesn't work either. The whole image changes: poses and positions included.
TLDR: If I can't enhance images, I'm stuck either making really low quality images and stories or I'm blowing all my Anlas for the month on a single story.
That's why I'm really hoping right now that this enhance issue just resolves itself shortly. Sorry for the delay but I really don't want to make a story with such low resolution/ poorly detailed images again.
If this issue persists though maybe I'll make a quick story out of low quality images and then continue the requests and main stories I wanted to do later.
