There are going to be so many questions that there's no way I can anticipate them with a description. Fire away.

Why did Turkey not annex Israel like the other nations around them?

Anonymous

Argentina andChile were annexed by the USA, or are they just allies?

whatifalthist

The Turks would use the Jews as an ethnic minority to maintain control over the Arabs. Subduing Israel would be too hard and so they would give it autonomous status. Sort of like the British used the Sikhs in India or the French, the Berbers in the Maghreb.

Very interesting, I finally had a chance to take a better look. But I have too many questions, so I guess a video would be cool.

But anyway: Why did Canada stop existing as a country? Why did Ontario and British Columbia stay independent? Did communism end in Cuba and Bolivarianism in Venezuela? Why did Russia disintegrate? How was Ukraine split between Russia and Poland? How was Turkey able to annex the Balkans? How can it legitimate its rule to mostly christian subjects? How did Kazakhs and China annex regions which still have mostly ethnic Russian population? Is China a monarchy like the old days? How did it ditch Marxism-Leninism? Who unified Korea? How is its government? Did France annex those African countries?

2.Canada has an internal balance of power between the provinces. If Alberta goes, so do the prairies, who are culturally aligned with Alberta, and Quebec, who wont't want to live in a country dominated by Ontario. If those leave, so do the Maritimes. That leaves Ontario, which can legislate its way to success by selling through legal loopholes to the American economy. British Columbia has an Asian based economy anyway. These provinces are the ones with the most pride now, anyways.

3.Communism in Venezuela won't last, it's just too foolish. Once it shifts, it will move into the American orbit to sell their oil.

4.Russia's declining population means that their young population will half in a generation. Climate change also makes their land more desirable. Under those conditions, they're no way they hold onto the Far East. Similarly, the Muslim minorities have much higher birthrates, meaning they should be able to split off in a couple decades.

whatifalthist

5.Ukraine and Belarus don't have developed identities. Once Russia splits, they will likely lean more heavily on their Slavic side. In general due to their flat terrain, the chances those countries survive is low

whatifalthist

6.The Balkan's populations and economies are decaying so much that they're losing effective mobilization abilities. The Turks will just be able to seize power.

whatifalthist

7.The Chinese outnumber the Russians to such a ridiculous degree that they can repopulate them. The Kazakhs have a much higher birthrate than the Russians.

whatifalthist

8.Due to population issues, the CCP likely won't last. China will have a major crisis, but you can't remove China and so they will renovate themselves at a certain point. The trajectory in China has been towards greater Confucanism. I'm imagining a pseudo-Imperial regime.

9. The South unifies Korea. No other answer makes sense.

10. France already controls most of those countries. They'd take the rest to counterbalance the Turks and to get oil once the Americans stop being willing to supply it from the Middle East.

Very cool man, Thanks! I hope we will have a video about it soon!

How did Iran manage to expand it's borders and stay out of alliances with Either China, the US, or the Turkish Empire?

Why is California autonomous?

Anonymous

Why is the US no longer allied with India? I hope we can get a video on this map. It is VERY COOL!

whatifalthist

Iran's mountainous geographic position will keep it independent. This map does nothing to demonstrate alliances. Pakistan likely won't survive due to bad geography, tentative local identity, and a position in the center of the map. Similarly, as the Chinese spread west, the Iranians will divide the map with them

whatifalthist

I'm going to make a video explaining this map. Alliances aren't represented in this map, client status is

whatifalthist

The rest of the US and California are moving in different ethnic and cultural directions. I'm predicting a large religious, socially right-wing backlash in a couple decades, which California likely wouldn't be privy to. After a certain point, California will likely want self-governance and the US won't want California being a big factor. Also, geographical, the US controlling California doesn't; make a lot of sense anyway. California would become self governing similarly to how Scotland is inside the UK now.

Why has India absorbed Bangladesh and large parts of Pakistan? Why would India want those areas, they will only get a larger population and area from it. There will not become more powerfull or wealthier (Per capita) from conquering these nations. Will it not just cause Internal division, and islamist/jihadi insurgencies, at least in the former Pakistan. As in Indian Jammu and Kashmir where there exist violent mujahedeen groups. A conflict that has lead to casualties from 20.000-100.000 (highest and lowest estimates). Isn’t there a reason India was split up to begin with.

I can see the DR Congo being divided up by strong regional powers. It just to big of country to be govern by the current system and Katanga had a Separatist movement in the past even if it was puppeteer by the Belgians

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but Egypt is 1) fiercely Anti-Turkish so would be pretty unwilling to fall into their sphere, and 2) more likely to be subjugated by Ethiopia because of the Nile crisis.

whatifalthist

The Egyptians don't have anything the Ethiopians want. The Egyptians wouldn't be able to stop the Turks due to a combination of weak elites, military and poor geography.

Why does Thailand get southern Myanmar? How did Myanmar escape Chinese client status?

If California leaves the states, would the US aim to replace with "proper" states? Wondering about what happens in this timeline with Cuba, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Greenland, Iceland, potential Canadian prairie and Maritime states. Who would join as states and who would remain "independent" in that group?

Do you think the USA would take over parts of eastern Siberia? I can see a possible alliance between Russia & USA ( maybe with Japan) against China
