A cultural map of America I made a way back. A bit derivative of Colin Woodard's "11 Nations of North America" and "Albion's Seed" by David Hackett Fischer.

This is scarily close to map I just made for a book I had an idea for where the U.S. splits into different nations. Both New Orleans and New York were city states and the only states that remained fully intact were California and Texas. I guess the cultural divisions are obvious so there wouldn't be much deviation from different mappings of such.

Great work, however one thing I think a lot of cultural historians do is overlook the massive impact of immigration to the US throughout the 20th century and focus too much on the founding stock as if they actually remained a significant segment of the population. For example, New York in the present day could hardly be described as dutch or Calvinist, although it does retain a few minor features.
