Darth Vader was more than aware of that fact. The force had used a heavy hand with him for his entire life, giving him constant nudges throughout his day to day, as well as frequently plaguing his dreams with visions and warnings. They had only worsened since his fall, and he understood full well what it wanted from him. But he had never allowed the force to railroad him toward a choice before, and the anger and ego he possessed as a Sith lord made him even more stubborn than ever. It had taken the force quite a while to realize that visions alone couldn't soothe his rage, that a more solid connection to his past would be needed to guide him towards the light. But the force wasn't content to merely wait for the boy on Tatooine to meet his father, and began chipping away at the arrogance and pride of the fallen Skywalker with vivid visions of himself in varying positions of helplessness...
