Tension is already SO HIGH! Does anyone else want to reach through the screen and give these boys a hug?

the way i immediately need to see your reaction to episode 3 since the next task will be pretty exciting for you guys. 🚶🏻‍♀️ so excited!!!

This is so stressing. At least i liked that they didn't tell them who got what scores so they don't immediately go you did bad so you leave;they have to themselves think about what they did

Samy

It seriously is an emotional rollercoaster and at some point you feel bad for all the trainees, I felt so bad for Heeseung this episode though like he was voted the leader with all the pressure and gave his own practice time for others but I’m glad Sunghoon was understanding 🥹 Heeseung after multiple rewatches of I-Land I’ve concluded was very selfless throughout the entire show and by the end I feel like befriended and helped everyone(my bias is probably showing😂) I actually love Into the I-Land song it’s still on my Spotify playlist, without giving too much away it’ll come back around like I feel like it has so much connotations so it’s such a special song till this day, all the songs that were specifically made for I-Land are amazing songs! I can’t wait to watch more with you guys and all you’re questions will be answered as you keep watching 😊

Seeing them cry is always the hardest part of the show (and it happened a lot) 😭 Into the i-Land is such a beautiful song 🫶🏼 I cry everytime I listen to it

I think what happened here has greatly affected heeseung on refusing the leader position in enhypen although he has leader qualities and is one of the most talented idols ive come across he cannot bear the strain of so many ppl depending on him while also shouldering his own hardships he is such an amazing person and im so happy he realized his limits and boundaries and gave his own happiness a front seat. i think that later youll come across why jungwon exactly fits being the leader and its so interesting to see the dynamics these boys have carefully sculpted around them being enhypen.

With the number of times I've watched this show, I shouldn't be crying- But here I am. I think this was the moment that, later, made Heeseung refuse the Leader position for Enhypen - sometimes I really think he would have refused anyway. He is an introvert and his only goal and the only reason he accepted the position here was to help everyone, which would be an excellent thing for a leader. The problem wasn't him in the first part. They could've kept him as part 1 and made Ni-Ki the dance leader but they were out of their depths and understandably so. It was a learning experience for everyone and I am glad that they had it. As much as it hurts, they gave little thought to anything that wasn't dancing and it showed. I can't fault them tho, because they had no direction except for Rain. Rain was really good at balancing his coaching but that showed the double standard the kids had. They gave leadership to Heeseung but didn't think that he did what he needed to do. Especially since he was one of the people with the most training experience there. He was evaluating them like he knew they were going to be evaluated. They could have talked to him about it without guilting him. At the same time, I understand where Youngbin and the others came from, especially Ni-Ki and K that were primarily dancers. That's something that is partially an industry flaw. The only really good singers that this team had, were Heeseung, Geonu and Jungwon, and, probably, Seon. Geonu was not wrong in pointing out Ni-Ki's problem with singing. The others needed a lot of work or were right in the middle of big voice changes that are hard to work with - or both. All of this on their first task... Without a vocal coach. Sunghoon being there for Heeseung since day 1 always makes me cry. Sunghoon is always thinking of others too, that's the reason I liked them the most from day one. Jay persistence is always been so admirable. Hanbin being the second oldest and the oldest in the ground was a blessing, honestly. The boy is sunshine in human form. This is just going to get more emotional... Good thing tissues are on hand at all times. Into the I-Land was a really good Signal song. Still have it on my playlist!

oh this show is seriously so brutal, the voting each other out thing is just awful i cant imagine being in that position. the boys are over it now obviously and they joke about it or talk about it casually but in that moment its definitely very stressful. i get what you mean about the stress of performing alone, but if youre going to be an idol i think you just have to suck it up honestly.. if youre already intimidated performing alone in front of other trainees, how are you gonna do it in front of judges, teachers, directors, or audiences?? my poor babies i just wanna give everyone a hug and wipe their tears away omg :(

Jin

I already can't wait for next week's episode! ❤️

Gio

I'm rewathcing i-land for the third time with you but it is still hard to watch without crying!

Samy

I agree with this so much especially Heeseung in I-Land, pre-debut and first few months after debut he definitely had a hard time in I-Land not saying others didn’t but it definitely affected him a lot, I’d say currently he’s at his best place and could even be the leader as he’s grown so much but having Jungwon be it was such a wise and interesting decision, he is honestly super mature and independent for his age from what we’ve seen of him, but what I’m trying to get at is Heeseung’s position is perfect right now and he supports Jungwon so much and you can see how much Jungwon respects him and other members too, he has still a lot on his plate being the eldest, main vocal and being the center in a lot of their performances, I think everyone and their personalities fit more than ever now and we can see how close they’ve become 😊

NewChapterReactions

We felt so bad for Heeseung. Literally they were all just trying to do the best in a situation they had never been in before. You're going to go through trial and error and that's how you grow. I'm just sorry it had to be in such a stressful situation like this.

11am09

They did but sadly you can't just tell them they did good because they won't grow and become even better

bri

heeseung :(

will be rewatching iland for like the fifth time with your reactions. i came to like enhypen after debut so when i watched iland for the first time i already knew who was going to make it….trust me it doesn’t make it any easier to say goodbye to the others even when you know its coming

Why does your suffering give me such joy??? 😈 Hehe don’t hate my dark side 🧛🏻

Love your commentary on the show 😊. I'm also rewatching I-land from other two reactors and see their opinion on the show. Their will be some episodes that you guys might want to watch together to see the result.

2023-03-18 17:12:58 YESS, new iland episode!! Honestly, i get goosebumps every time when i think about the fact that Ni-ki was only 14 at the time, he was such a baby back then😭 It's really incredible to see how much potential he had at that age and the fact that his voice was still developing and could be unstable. I was really worried, because it could play against him at an important moment, but hopefully he made it and now part of enhypen:’) After I- LAND I recommend you to start ENHYPEN&HI season 1 (there you can see their first days after the I-land, the first broadcast, the first day in the dorm and so on) it’s really comforting to watch after all the stress I-land caused to them (and us) FUN FACT: The first line from the signal song lnto the I-land “I got pushed tteomillyeo wasseo” was the first line of the Jay’s verse of Future Perfect (Pass the Mic) that shows that they’ve changed since then and that they are moved forward since those days. Also I’m happy that you are not jumping into conclusions right away and trying to understand every side and reasoning behind decisions, I really appreciate it about your reactions. Andone more thing, maybe you would like to make a stream the other day, if you have time, to watch more than 1 episode live? I think it would be so much fun with you and chat:> Just an idea Sorry for mistakes, English not my first language<3

And I thought StrayKids debut reality show and Kingdom gave me incredible anxiety! Omg this show is stress times 10! I've watched SKZ reality show twice and I'm watching Kingdom for the 5th time with you gals. This is my 1st time watching I-Land and I'm stressed to the max on episode 2!😫😵‍💫🤯😳 GEESH!!!

Samy

Exactly this was a first for all of them, this show definitely made them grow in the end, but it was so hard to watch and must’ve been even harder to endure for all our boys, every time they cried I cried 😭

Aya

you may want to brace yourself for the upcoming episodes because i’ve seen plenty of survival shows and this one is Brutal 😭

That's so sad to hear. He seems to be happy where he currently is at now so we'll have to take comfort from that. Plus Jungwon makes the most adorable leader. We're really interested in seeing him take this position when we get there. I said this in another comment but I really do think that they tried their best to do what they could in a situation that they had never been faced with before. The lack of any type of guidance is terrifying. We're not ready for some of these kids to eventually be sent home (it might break us) because we've become so attached in such a short time frame.

riv

Oh, I agree with you. I think they naturally give him the role because at the time he was the most well rounded trainee among them. Which doesn't necessarily mean he wanted to be a leader. That's what I was trying to say. He likes being the center but that doesn't automatically translate in wanting to be a leader. Jungwon is not only an adorable leader, but someone who can take that type of pressure. Plus, they did learn a lot during I-Land. They certainly did their best. A lot of them were kids and they were not all close from day one. Communication is difficult in general, I can't imagine how hard it was for them. You are in front of cameras, without guidance, with 12 other people with your same dream, but different personalities and characters. It's just... They did their best. And, honestly it wasn't even that bad. I understand. I've been there. I actually keep up with everyone that debuted for that same reason. I might not stan every group, but I keep up with them! I was so happy when Yangbin debuted 🥺

2023-05-31 06:24:00 This is only my second full-run through of the show, and I have to say that knowing exactly who is in both Enhypen and &team before going into this show probably saved my sanity and prevented several heartaches. Sure, it's hard to watch things happen with the guys I knew weren't going to make it, and it was still stressful to see what they endured and what shaped them... but knowing the result (and knowing that a couple of my favorites weren't just done for after I-Land finished) was very helpful to me. I moved directly from I-Land to &audition, just to ease my heart a little more. It's brutal here, but I think they came out of it all stronger because of it all, truly. I absolutely love "Into the I-Land", and I've got the Enhypen version on my playlist. It's a fun one to sing along to, which is always a bonus when it comes to playlist tracks. I love the combined stage performance Enhypen and &team did together of it, too.
