Animated Introduction (1st) (Patreon)

Since so many people liked the animated introductions, I decided to make these first two public. There will be more 2D animation in the future though, so stay tuned!

The style of these two pieces it's a combination of various anime styles from the 90s, although I would say that Ghibli movies were the strongest influenece (Porco Rosso, to be more precise). I love how they turned out, and I think they give Valle Verde a very unique identity, beyond being heavily influenced by Animal Crossing, of course.

What differenciates this first animation from a pure Ghibli style, is the composing method that a lot of PS1 games used at the time, a very primitive version of digital composing, that didn't look as sharp as modern ones, especially when scaling things up (Like that zoom at the end) and this is present in almost all PS1 2D intros.
