Hi guys,

It's been a while since I last mentioned any news about the game.

I know it's taking way longer than I expected it to be, but I'm currently in the way of introducing our first character and building prologue scenes.

As of now, I've learned the basics of:

  • Scene staging and lighting

  • Simple keyframe animations (like the one in the video. It's far from perfect but I'm working on improvements)

  • Script writing and coding (I have some programming background, but learning game engine is a new thing and took time to figure out)

At this point of time, I have the menu ready and several lines of the intro.

I still haven't fully figured out the animation pipeline and in many cases when I apply animations and/or transfer models from one tool to another models collapse into whimsical monster-like creatures (:D), and sometimes it's just that the animations don't apply due to conflicts with the models.

I hope that by the end of the month I'll be set on the development pipeline, but am really not sure if I'll be able to finish everything and start full-powered development. However, Once I get to making the intro - I'll make sure the test build is available to all.

I'll spend extra time this weekend learning aspects of animation rendering, which will help me better understand how to make those things.

Also, there will be one new artwork coming sometime around Monday (or slightly sooner), along with the announce of new mainline comic series.

I know some of you are here purely for the comics, and I appreciate your patience. My pace will get back to its original speed once I figure out the development pipeline.

And as always - Thank you so much for the support, this means a ton to me!

Love,
WFO 💛

Looks good, what engine are you using?

Thanks for the question! My current plan is to use mix of Blender & UE5. The animation sample you see in the video is made in Blender and is intended to be transferred to Unreal. I've also purchased several of Daz models and currently working on exporting them saving facial rig since it's very detailed. But since every export step adds up to the difficulty, it may take extra time to figure things out.
