My retina is properly healed, and my vision has improved. BUT, as my ophthalmological surgeon predicted, the slowly developing cataract in that eye was made worse by the surgery, and so I likely now need cataract surgery on the same eye. That had always been in the cards, but the timeline accelerated from about ten years to now.

Have an appointment with a cataract specialist in about three weeks to have a compelte evaluation and to schedule the cataract surgery. More details to follow.

I’ve had both my eyes done, relatively painless. Just make sure you use the best eye man available and pay a little more for it! I no longer need glasses, have 20/20+ vision. Was a little “shiny “ at night for about 6 weeks, but now almost normal. Sometimes late at night I need very low correction reading glasses, but otherwise it’s a wonderful miracle what can be done in today’s medical world ‼️GOOD LUCK

What Jim said. I think the surgery is one of the best things I've done for myself.
