My tips for The Sims 4 (Patreon)
Content
Hello everybody 🤗
I noticed that I'm often receiving the same kind of questions regarding the game so I thought about writing this post with useful links for everyone.
How to speed up your load times:
When using tons of CC, The Sims 4 takes a lot of time to launch.
The first thing to do which will not cost you anything is to turn off the mods list at startup.
Unchecking the "Show at Startup" box will automatically speed up your launch time, a lot!
How to turn off the SSAO:
If you do not like the default shadow, or if you have that kind of shadow issues on meshes you can't fix by yourself (it's most of the time caused by a high poly shadow mesh), here is how to disable SSAO: *here*
How to enable HQ textures on objects:
I have ultra-high settings enabled and at every new patch, I'm following this tutorial to enable HQ textures: *here*
How to move The Sims 4 to an external drive: (windows 10)
If like me you're using tons of CC, chances are you do not have any space left on your drive and thinking about installing your mods folder on an external drive.
Here is how: *here*
I'm personally using an external SSD drive which is the "SanDisk extreme pro portable NVMe" and my computer is the Asus ROG Strix GL10DH-FR133T. I have 102go of mods/CC installed on my external SSD drive and with this + turning off the mods list at startup, my game is launched in less than 10 minutes.

I wish this post will help some of you!
