Katz‘ Story (Patreon)

On the recent surging topic of abuse, I experienced a fair amount of it as well ranging from childhood until a few years back to present day. I don’t want to make a big deal about it but I consider patreon a safe-ish place.

Without going into too much detail, it ranged from physical and verbal abuse to yandere stalking and manipulation. Almost all of it was either ignored (childhood) or victim blamed (teen-early adult). Idk if it was just really bad luck but as soon as I something bad happened everyone turned on me and started distancing, and the few who were trying to help turned out to be the worst of them (manipulative predators).

I did go to the police for some of it but this justice system is broken - they claim they can‘t do anything until something actually happens even if you have evidence of someone threatening to kill you. It‘s one of the reasons I decline if anyone asks for a picture with me. After all of that I just wanted to be left in peace and focus on drawing.

I‘m glad society changed more towards believing and standing up for victims these days.
