Five years ago today we launched RKG.

It was a daunting proposition. We were leaving wonderful jobs, working with people we loved, to do something on our own. But instantly you made it all okay.  Actually, you made it incredible from the start. So we just wanted to write a short post to say ‘thank you’.

If you're not an RKG patron but love what we do, thank you for watching our videos, supporting us with your precious time and positive comments.

If you are an RKG patron, thank you for giving us the freedom to make the things we want. It’s an immense privilege for any creative person to have that opportunity once in their life. You’ve given us that for five years. So whether you’ve been here since day one, supported when you could, or joined more recently, thank you – your support has been behind everything we’ve achieved so far.

But the truth is you’ve made being an RKG patron into so much more. You haven't just funded our videos – you’ve formed a uniquely compassionate community around what we make. We see it every day in the comments left on Patreon and the interactions on Discord, where you support us and each other. We couldn’t have a better audience.

Thank you for not only believing in us but continually motivating us to be better.

Love from,

RKG x

Happy 5 years! Time flies! I shall continue to support you on two conditions: 1. You continue to make the things you want to make. 2. You stop making them if and when you no longer want to make them. Hopefully I'll be writing this again in 5 more years and beyond!

You boys are absolute legends. I love Let's Plays, and in an era where they're dying because livestreams replaced them, you guys are elevating the format to a fucking artform. Not only is your dynamic and banter hilarious, but your uncompromising dedication to quality is very refreshing and appreciated. I gained a whole new level of respect for you guys when you put the Sekiro LP on hold during the pandemic because you knew it would suffer from not recording together in person. You recognize that your output is not just disposable content, but entertainment people will discover and rewatch for years. You slugs are seriously the best to ever do it.
