Firstly, if you’re reading this and aren’t a patron but would like to keep updated on what we’re doing, you can now become a ‘follower’ of RKG on Patreon for free. That way anytime a public post like this goes live you’ll have it emailed directly to your inbox.

So what have we been up to?

SPOOKIES: Dead Space finished last weekend, and we’re so happy with how it turned out and from the response to the episodes, it seems like you felt the same way.

Not only do we think it’s one of our best non-Souls playthroughs, it was probably the easiest show we’ve ever made in terms of post-production. This is because over the last couple of years, with each new project, we’ve consciously refined our processes so we can make episodes more easily and quickly without compromising our beliefs in the importance of production quality, proper editing, and beautiful presentation. Some of this is down to better systems, some of it is investment in technology, and we might delve into this in greater detail for patrons in the coming months.

This is something we’ve been working towards for a while now. We’ve been able to produce SPOOKIES: Dead Space on a weekly schedule in not only a manageable but in a very enjoyable way. And that’s something we needed to nail down for what’s next.

But what is next?

Well, the short answer is a lot.

You may have seen over the weekend we teased the release date for something pretty big. RETRY: Elden Ring premieres on Saturday, July 15 at 8pm BST. We’ll be hosting a YouTube Premiere for the first episode, so stick it in your calendars if you’d like to watch it for the first time along with the community and be part of the live chat.

But what about June?

Well, until RETRY: Elden Ring we’ll be making a series of announcements about the future of RKG. In fact, we’ve already started. We teased RETRY: Demon’s Souls | Special Edition at the beginning of this week, and details of what that contains and when it’s coming will be with you this weekend.

But that’s just the beginning. If you follow these posts closely, or listen to our conversations about the state of RKG on Shield Up, you’ll know how we’ve working on building a proper studio space – something we’ve never had before – and what that’ll mean for our ability to create more things. It’s been a long journey here, but we’re finally at that place. There’s still some finishing touches to make, but we’ve never been better positioned to move RKG forward than we are right now.

So for the next 6 weeks we’ll be sharing what we want RKG to be and releasing information of what that means for viewers and patrons alike. Right now is the most exciting time for us since we originally launched back in 2019, and we can’t wait to share it all with you.

Here’s to the future, and the fools, and the future fools.

I don't get involved in the social side of RKG a great deal, so I Don't get the chance to show my appreciation much. But I just wanted to say how much I enjoy everything you three have ever produced together. I've followed the journey from the start, and I couldn't be happier to see it all coming together like this. Congratulations, can't wait to see what's coming next.

I really enjoyed the weekly schedule of Spookies: Dead Space, so it’s good to hear it was a better experience in the production side. Is it possible to create and add episodes to a playlist as episodes roll out? I love to watch you guys on the big screen and a playlist makes that pretty easy compared to needing the patron links for each one. In any case, I can’t wait to see what you get up to in Elden Ring!
