Hey everyone,

Just a quick update about tomorrow's event in light of the recent Plan B covid rules being introduced here in England.

The event is still taking place, and if you'd like to come, tickets are still available and can be purchased through the Rio's website. All the details are down below.

If you are attending, masks will be mandatory during the screening and in communal areas of the theatre. We encourage you to test on the morning of the event if possible. We'll all be doing the same.

Sadly, we've decided to not host drinks afterwards as it felt irresponsible for us to pack a bunch of people into a small pub for an entire afternoon. We hope you can all understand the reasoning behind this decision. There will be more events in future, but right now people's health is more important.

Has it been a long time since you’ve seen real magic?

Join RKG and their friends from IGN for a screening of Christopher Nolan’s secret best film, The Prestige – a story of warring magicians, weird science, and really good fake beards.

The movie will be followed by a live panel where we’ll discuss the film in minute and almost worrying detail (although we can’t promise we won’t just argue about who knows knots best).

When?

Saturday, 11th December at 11:30am.

Where?

The Rio Cinema, Dalston. Here's the website.

What?

A screening of The Prestige followed by a live podcast-style discussion of one of our favourite films of all-time.

Tickets are on sale now: £13.50 full, £11.50 concessions.

No pub I understand, but how about a Christmas party after? Or maybe just a bit of cheese and wine?

Glad to hear you can still have the event. Sucks about the COVID still. I'm dead tired of it myself and its frustrating to me. Would also be there if I could. I applaud you on your adult decision making. It is correct even though its not ideal. Hang in there...enjoy the movie and friends!
