Hello all you lovely Patrons,

May has been an amazing month for RKG so we thought we’d run through some of our highlights for you.

Launched Our First Bit of RKG Merch

Our first t-shirt went on sale – the Retry Mission Crew.

We’ve been working on this for a while with Ryan Quintal, the brilliant designer who helped design all the RKG and Retry branding. We’re immensely proud of this shirt and hopefully you guys are into it – it’s only available until Wednesday June 5th so make sure to grab one before it’s gone forever

Recorded a Pilot for a New Podcast

We’ve been planning this podcast for a while and with the help of a few of our Producers, we finally managed to get the time to flesh out a pilot and record it. We don’t want to say too much yet but we can say that it’s a video game and movie related podcast which will have us talking about some of the games/films that we love. We’ll keep you updated on the production and we’ll have more to share soon.

Big Potato Games Livestream

We’ve been a fan of these independent board game publishers ever since their game – Don’t Get Got – wrecked one of our IGN Christmas parties. They do a weekly livestream where they play the best of their own and other people’s board games and invited Krupes and Gav on to play. What followed was an evening of booze-filled nonsense with loads of you guys stopping by the chat to give a friendly ‘Michael’. If you weren’t able to watch live, you can still watch the stream back here.

We love playing board games together and definitely want to explore doing tabletop games on the channel in the coming months.

Changed up Our Livestream

We gave our own RKG Live a little shake up starting with a few tech upgrades. Because of your support we were able to get new gear in which helped us iron out some of the remaining gremlins and will help us make our livestream experience as good as our edited Let’s Plays.

We also changed the way we’re doing the Producer Post Show which means we’ll be playing more of the games we genuinely care about.

Hit a Brick Wall in Dark Souls 2

We’ve had a really good laugh playing Dark Souls 2 so far but fair play to Powers – he’s been absolutely smashing pretty much every boss. That all changed in May as we started the DLC and went up against The Gank Squad. For the first time this series, it felt like we were back into a hopeless groove of dying and retrying with the Banter Bus forced into high gear. Things get progressively worse from here as we go in search of the Iron and Ivory crowns, and you’ve got all that to look forward to in June.

That’s just some of our highlights for May. We wouldn’t be here with your support so thanks again for deciding to be part of RKG – you are awesome.

Rory, Krupa, Gav x
