Probably going to be missing EDC Japan (Patreon)

Well. It finally happened. An event out of my control is causing me to probably miss out on one of the shows I've been looking forward to. A package with my passport and Japanese visa in it has gone missing and neither FedEx nor my apartment management know where it is. Such a huge bummer. Sorry guys, was looking forward to giving you some fresh content but not looking so good at this point. Fingers crossed it magically shows up before my flight in the morning.

An update: not going to edc japan UNLESS the package with my passport materializes and I book a new flight to arrive in time for our programming time slot. It’s impossible for me to get a new passport. To quote from my visa application person, “Because you have a work approval in the Japanese government’s system (COE), you cannot arrive as a tourist without that approval being canceled. In order to cancel, the COE must be sent back to Japan and canceled at the ministry. That COE is stapled inside your passport, so having it canceled isn’t an option.”
