Hello everyone,

In addition to the previous update. The following features are included in this release :

Translator++ Ver.2.6.20

  • WolfJs ver 0.2 : Text message overflow has been fixed.
  • KAGParser ver 0.1


WolfJs ver 0.2

There are several fixes in this update.

The most noticeable fix is the change in how Translator++ handle text that will overflow the text box.


For example, if you translate a text more than 4 lines in these standard text-boxes, then your text will overflow the textbox. 

This version will fix that behavior. Translator++ will serve as the game interpreter to create several text boxes for you depending on how many lines your translations are.


KAG Parser

So, if you are following my previous post, you will certainly have noticed that I have been working on Kiri Kiri Adventure Game (KAG) engine support. Now that engine is ready to use and included in this release.


Translator++ Ver 2.6.20 is available at patron's download page.

Hey Dream sorry to bother you ive been a patron for a while I ran into an issue i was using you translator to translate an rpg maker game, it was working but my pc got messed had to factory reset it i redownloaded everything all c++ packages etc and im getting an error for a game i was translating priorly msvcr100.dll not found translate is working for other games but this one in particular is an issue is there any fix you can think of Also tried downloading the older translator version i was using from your archive but when i tried upzipping its password protected and i have installed the c++ needed and I checked through your FAQ

Unable to process unextracted KAG at this version. Please extract all the xp3 archives first before working with Translator++. Help

Good news i fixed it did a little digging around apparently you need to have both versions of 2010 not 2015 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8328%20 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=13523 heres a link to both for any having the same problem msvcr100 missing

Can I ask if you are also going to include tyrano builder? KAG and tyrano builder uses around the same engine.

I eventually will. The Goal of Translator++ is to support any major engine ... as long as it is possible to do so. But it is entirely depend on the patreon support though.

It's nice seeing the continuous updates, but I'd love to see some guides on the actual workflow, especially with projects that actively receive updates still - do I really have to make a new project everytime and then import the .trans file from the old version, or is there some better way to go about this o: Thanks!!

Hi, Pumallarios, You don't need to create a new project each time you update Translator++, unless you've been used the very old version of Translator++ (1.4 or older). But, have to create a new project under WolfJs you were previously working on WolfTrans version of Wolf RPG (Translator++ ver 2.4 or older).

I just want to let you know that kag parser have an issue if you translate a script heavy game.

I do not know how to pull out the log, I only know is the .ks file was not translated. The first 100 lines is full of kiri kiri script as its is more of a game than visual novel.

Need Help! This message pops up every time I try to start the Translator Tool. I have everything installed as intructed and still got the problem. Had the same issue with previous versions too.. Will you add Chinese UI to your software in the future?

I don't know if that counts as intended use or not, but "Empty Project" without selecting an engine does not generate an autosave file, which in turn prevents Exporting and even saving does nothing Trying to export e.g. as CSV simply says "Unable to find /autosave.json"; and if I add such a file manually, it is never updated nor are files generated based on the sample data in it. I'm curious if [A] you are not supposed to use "Empty project" without an engine or [B] an oversight since it is a recently added feature. -- For the record, I made sure to use the most recent version. Btw: Besides that, this whole project is wholly awesome work, I searched exactly for such a thing!

Hello! I am new here and I'm not very good at using this tool yet. When I try to start a new project and then select the executable I get this error. Can anyone help me figure this out please? Error opening file : undefined TypeError [ERR_INVALID_ARG_TYPE]: The "path" argument must be of type string or an instance of Buffer or URL. Received undefined

So to translate a game made in KAG, have generated a data folder from data.xp3. Using translator++ starts to processing and freeze. any clues to how to fix?

Hello, I met a problem when translating rmmv game. Translator + + translated the Japanese language in the plug-in instructions. Unfortunately, there are a lot of plug-in instructions in the game, which makes translation very difficult. Can you try to add new functions? Causes text in plug-in instructions to be skipped during translation.

My guess would be that the files may be still crypted? At least that was an issue I had with previous tools.

i wonder. they are in .ks format and can be edited in text editor like notepad

What I noticed with Japanese games the KAG parser messes with how the dialogue is structured. Example. 【さやか】「[indent] ......Oh, Im back now.」 [endindent][女声待][p][r][er] from 【さやか】「[indent]……た、ただいまもどりました」[endindent][女声待][p][r][er]

Don't know if thats what caused problems for you but it did for me. Fixed when I changed the structure back with the translation. Didn't use the tool for that, fixed it line by line.
