comission by bypasser12345 from DA

context by the comissioner:

It started as a vacation to her summer home in Unova. That was until she was visited by Nimbasa City Subway Boss Emmet. Cynthia knew why he came, his twin brother, Ingo, had been missing for months and Emmet was increasingly desperate.

The Sinnoh Champion naturally agreed to help, even if it cut into her vacation time. The clues led her to the Unova Underground Ruins, where she found a section she never saw before during her last visit. There were such strange markings that compelled Cynthia to get closer only to be enveloped by a blinding light.

When she opened her eyes, she was no longer in the Underground Ruins of Unova but rather a village that looked like the ones shown in history books that chronicled the lives of ancient Sinnoh, back when the region was called Hisui.

Wait, it couldn’t be. Could it?

Asking around confirmed Cynthia’s wildest guess: she was in Jubilife Village during the Hisui period. At first she was taken aback by being sent so far into the past yet realized her golden opportunity: being in Hisui gave her access to history in-the-making. A treasure trove of information and culture that had yet to be lost to time. A dream come true for an archeologist and historian such as herself.

It didn’t take her long to get acquainted with the villagers, including Akari who immediately recognized Cynthia as the Champion of Sinnoh. The local heroine of Jubilife Village eagerly showed her around town, starting with a visit to the clothing store to get Cynthia an authentic Hisuian outfit.

At the end of tour, which concluded with a battle at the training grounds run by Ingo, Cynthia asked Akari if she knew someone named Cogita. She always dreamt about speaking to her ancestor and now had the opportunity to do so in person. When Akari offered to guide her to Cogita’s retreat, how could she refuse?

Over tea, the two spoke of a wide arrange of topics for hours. Cynthia learned so much from Cogita, but the heat was starting to ruin the moment. As much as she was loving the Hisuian experience, Cynthia wasn’t a fan of the footwear and took them off so her feet could breathe. This wasn’t unnoticed by Cogita, who remarked that her feet were cute and well cared for.

That was…odd. Of all the things she sort of expected from her ancestor, comments about her feet didn’t even make the top thousand. Even more surprising was the feeling of something soft and smooth sliding across the tops of her bare feet. It was Cogita’s feet; her ancestor was playing footsie with her.

So many feelings were coursing through Cynthia’s head. It tickled but felt nice. She practically let Cogita control her feet while she escalated the footsie over the table, for anyone to see. But was it wrong for her to enjoy it? Was footsie acceptable or taboo in Hisui? The historical texts made no mention of footsie in Hisui so what would people say if they found out?

Cogita certainly didn’t seem to care, sipping her tea while incessantly rubbing of her toes against Cynthia’s arches. It told the Sinnoh Champion all the answers to her conflicting thoughts: just enjoy the moment. Whatever feelings of uncertainty she had were long gone by the time she returned to Jubilife Village for the evening.

She certainly learned a lot today. She was looking forward to learning about this new Hisuian tradition Akari promised to show her tomorrow.
