The Other Little Gary in Dream Land (Patreon)

As my latest storyline, "Little Gary in Dream Land", comes to a close, it's time to reflect back on what might've been (and what might've been way better than you ended up getting).

Today, while I was looking over some ideas I'd jotted down for future storylines, I came across some ideas for "Little Gary" that I kinda just forgot about.

Number one, Gary gets crabbier and crabbier throughout the storyline, eventually turning into one of the monstrous crankies. This is a concept I set up early on, right before Gary is attacked by the little demons. In the end, while I like the idea, I think it would've gotten in the way of the plot. And it would've been tricky to end the storyline.

Number two, Doug and Barnaby are grown up versions of Freddie and Barry. You can definitely notice this one, given Barnaby's willingness to eat Gary and Doug's timid compliance. But I remember deciding not to make this one explicit since it would've been a little confusing, and now Doug and Barnaby can return in other Dream Land storylines told from Freddie and Barry's perspective without too much of an explanation.

Number three. Mr. Taft would just randomly say something at the end of the storyline.  Not super interesting, especially compared to the humorously unexplained super Mr. Taft.
