We have been getting a lot of questions about BoB2 and its state lately, so we would like to address it directly. Bend or Break 2 initially, it came out as more of a proof of concept in 2019 due to many issues, but it wasn't worth releasing at that stage.

This new version has been a side project for years now. Aside from a few backgrounds from the 2019 version, everything has been remade. The game design still has some elements from before, but most of that is also changed.

We'll be using RenPy for this project since the future state of Unity is really in question. Plus, RenPy has developed massively since the last time we used it, maybe version 4? Anyways, it's better to focus time on something that is open source in the long run.

Animation will be a major focus for the game and more complex paths. The original BoB1 had complex dialog paths, but it was eventually cut down to a couple.

We have been working on learning new skills in Live2D and Spine. We want to get a good workflow that balances the quality of the content with the time it takes.

With recent improvements in AI, we are researching voices and other generated pieces that can be added. These are more experimental and will be judged on what it can bring to the game overall.

The game will mainly focus on Korra in the South Pole a few years after the end of the series. Other characters will also appear from the show and the original series too. The cast will still be minimal compared to SU, but this will allow for more in-depth interactions and storylines!

We are still keeping it as a fun side project that we put time into, but we wanted to update you all on the progress. We'll make a more significant push for info closer to the actual release. The game will come out with at least a complete path or two that will be fully playable—adding in characters, events, and other content as it goes.

BoB2 will remain a game released when content is done for it. SU will stick to its two-month release cycle as usual.

Thanks for reading through all the info and the support to make more complex projects happen in the future!

You guys can tune in for streams, and we'll periodically answer questions about it there too!

We'll probably make some noise closer to a release, other than that we'll keep silent. We'd still like to be a side project. but wanted to update everyone asking with some info

On one hand, IA voice work would be nice, I have seen what it can do; on the other hand, it would be a shame if the original voice actors found it and tried to sue. Be careful.

The art was really good in the demo. Hopefully you keep the art direction, quality and style!! Pretty much the best looking Korra i've seen ever.
