I actually liked Diablo as a character, but the movie handled him the poorest of all the squad members. He spent the entire movie doing that flame sculpting side show birthday party trick until the two times they needed him. I agree with your guys' points on the jarring editing and the lack of a coherent goal; what their extraction mission actually turns out to be is retarded as hell. Also, on the point of the re-editing for the comedic effect, I call bullshit. There were some jokes in the trailers that were removed from the movie; like the bar scene and Diablo asking for water. Another thing that really bothered me was how unsneaky everyone in the squad was when they were supposedly trying to plot their escape. Concerning the Enchantress trying to tempt Harley with Joker, I disliked Harley's day dream or whatever you call it. I didn't buy that the scene shown is what Harley wanted, because the Joker in it was just a normal salary man guy; she signed up for him and the crazy.

Yeah it was very strange movie. It's kind of the same problem I have with all these DC movies so far. The casting is usually good, with the major exception of Jesse Eisenberg, and things look good. But the construction of and choices with characters and plot are always just scattershot. I agree, I don't think that would be Harley's wish with those weird dreams.
