there's a bug in the Halloween party event that causes the game to get stuck on the jacuzzi BG.

Soooo...I chose blackfire to go on the yacht and for some reason it gave me Cheshire and when I did "restart event" the only options I had were Cheshire and Tala?

Works normally for me. If "the application can't be opened" is literally all it says, then no idea. If it's giving you a reason it can't open it, then try googling it and fixing it. At a guess, you're running OSX 10.15 and you need to suppress the unsigned-app bullshit. (https://www.imore.com/how-open-apps-anywhere-macos-catalina-and-mojave)

When i go to talk to livwire i get "livewire convo 2, 3, 4 ect", twice when i've tried to talk to Jinx the game has seemingly frozen, and i've been trapped at the jacuzzi twice already. Also theres only about 6 or 7 characters present. Was I supposed to do more to ensure there are more present or something?

games seem to get stuck and be black on some scene, usually meeting with black manta in Halloween event and the supergirls event are still bugged

No the only characters are Jynx, Cerce, Victoria and livewire but she does nothing
