Our Discord server is approaching the 16k member mark shortly, and since the inception of using discord we really haven't done much in the way of moderation.  Recently we have made access to the majority of our Discord Patron/supporter only. The reason was simple, non-supporters were coming in and requesting help/guides and clearly had no intention of supporting. SR7 and myself were fine with, but many supporters felt it wasn't ok. Now non-supporters have access to a specific channel, and are greeted with a pm indicating what is expected. Non supporters can have access to some of the other channels with a special role, but only if they are seen as active participants in our community.  We hope to grow our community inside and outside Patreon. This is a first step in many that will be coming in regards to communication

Communication outside Patreon.

Over the last year or so we have been visibly absent from the outside community. This was a result of trying to avoid places were our game is being shared.  We felt that engaging in these places wasn't right, but those ideas have changed.  We now are active on several message boards, and trying to engage as many people outside Patreon to help us grow, and make positive changes.  If you have a forum or board you don't see us on, please mention it below and we will make a effort to communicate with those people as well.

Thanks for the support

ZULEYKA GAMES

Graz with great 16k achievement! ;)

Don't they just talk shit and complain on those boards? All while getting each build for free. Why does their opinion even matter? I doubt they'll suddenly start paying for it.

Arboris

same for summertime saga, but Darkcookie really doesn’t care. Nay sayers are always the loudest. The silent majority just enjoys the game.

I'm actually having problems with this change as even though I'm a supporter I have been kicked over to the non-patron server and can't get back.

If you surround yourself by people that always say you are amazing , it's easy to believe it. When you step outside the box and see what others are saying then you can get a real picture on how the community views you. Now with saying that, we won't be engaging trolls or constant naysayers, we will be answering legitimate questions. If someone goes to these boards and dsees an anon pouting off "lazy artist", "never going to be finished", and we aren't there to set the record straight with good people. Then what happens is we have a really bad image to a new person who discovers this game on one of those boards. So to curb this we will go there and interact to a degree and not try and sway people but be an official voice for the project. -SmokeShank
