The start of 2024 has been transformative for our team, marking more change than the past five years combined. In this dev blog, we address significant updates and upcoming adjustments.
We launched dev blogs last year to improve communication and transparency, receiving positive feedback for more transparency. However, this shift also led to challenges, including unchecked misinformation due to reduced open communication, and a disconnect with the majority of our audience who engage minimally with our detailed blogs.
To address misinformation, we're releasing previous dev blogs on itch.io for free and introducing a short, voiced TL;DR for future blogs, accompanied by summaries and Discord discussions.
Internally, the early months of 2024 have been a learning curve, highlighting the need for better project management and communication strategies. Adjustments include accountability meetings and utilizing Jira for project management.
Lastly, our annual survey launches later today, and will be open for the rest of the month. It will be publicly available, with additional Patreon and Discord-exclusive polls to gather comprehensive feedback.
Stay tuned for further updates and thank you for your continued support.
