CHAPTER 52

Using both hands, All Might digs into two boxes, one labeled HERO and the other VILLAIN before taking out two crystal balls with letters for them to see.

"The first teams to fight will be... THESE TWO!"

HERO: TEAM A

VILLAIN: TEAM D

"Team A, Midoriya-shonen's team as the Heroes versus Team D, Bakugo-shonen's team as the Villains!"

'So the main plot line's the same, that's good to know.'

"Everyone else, head towards the monitoring room, it's labeled, so it won't be hard to miss!"

"Yes sir!"

The class responded before following All Might to the room, letting Gohru look at Midoriya's pale face at the matchup.

"If you need a weapon, then find one from the ground, if not then use your elbows to break whatever glass that you can find for one. You got this."

Denji told Ochako who just nodded with a huff before we left the two to follow the group.

They sat at the end of the available seats for privacy while the rest were clumped up in the front where All Might and the screen was.

He could see that Denji was tense from his posture, to which he just slaps the back of his head.

"Ouch, you fucking bitch!"

He glared at his mentor as Gohru just had a smirk.

"Relax, Ochako's got this. Besides, first canon fight, I'm excited about this moment."

"... Yeah, whatever. I swear if any of them harms her hardly..."

And there's the Overprotective Mode. Sigh... This guy's a lost cause.

'Oh right, speaking of lost cause.'

"So, Ashido huh?"

A tint of pink suddenly arose from his cheeks as he just glares at Gohru who had a smug grin.

"Bullshit, she's just a friend."

"Mhmm, mhmm. Of course, I unders — "

" — START!"

All Might yells into the mic, signalling the start of the practice. Gohru and Denji just kept quiet, focusing on the fight that was about to happen.

They watched as Midoriya and Ochako successfully entered the building before slowly clearing the first floor's hallways.

"They're not clearing it carefully..."

He muttered as he watched the two just walk through the hallways slowly to not make sound. Ochako even ran slightly to Midoriya when she was left behind, causing more footsteps to be emitted.

Suddenly out of a corner, Bakugo jumps out with a cocked right hand before swinging his right arm.

"Hyaaaaah!"

BOOM!

An explosion occurred right in between his right arm and the group from Bakugo's Quirk.

But a millisecond later, Midoriya emerged from the smoke with Ochako untouched except for Midoriya's half torn mask from the earlier explosion.

"Nice job, Deku!"

Denji muttered with a little emotion as he sees his little twin sister come out from that explosion unscathed.

"A surprise attack?"

Gohru heard Jiro whisper as Kirishima slammed his fists on the table with annoyance.

"Bakugo, that's cheating! A surprise attack isn't many at all!"

"That isn't cheating, that's a tactic Kirishima."

Denji said with a frown as they looked at him.

"Hey, that's your sister out there! Aren't you worried?"

Hagakure with only her gloves visible asked with a hint of confusion as Denji shot back with a frustrated groan.

"Of course I am, but if I keep trying to protect her, then she shouldn't have entered the Hero Course.

She has to grow herself, and if this little practice means that she would grow to be a great Hero, then I'll gladly agree to it."

Denji finishes his sentence as All Might nodded at the statement.

"Very true, Uraraka-shonen! A surprise attack is indeed a tactic used by many Heroes, and he's also correct on the growth of Uraraka-shojo!

Preventing her from fighting now would limit her in the long run, that is not what I want from this exercise!"

"... Sorry."

"No problem, Hagakure-san. I know you mean well."

He waved her apology off as he places his hand on his cheek, concentrating on the fight between Midoriya and Bakugo.

With his left hand, Gohru ruffles at Denji's hair who swatted his hand annoyingly.

"Not bad, my padawan!"

"Shut up. This is so embarrassing..."

He said with a "straight" face (Meaning he was blushing in embarrassment) at everyone looking at him, causing Gohru to just grin.

"Oh, my dear introverted padawan, how would you get a girlfriend if talking to the whole class makes you so flustered?"

"Shut. Up."

"SMAAAAAAAASSSHHHHHH!!!"

VHOOOOOSHHH!!!

"God damn this kid's Quirk is too powerful..."

Gohru whispered as he watched Midoriya swing his right arm upwards with One for All while using his left to block the explosion, causing a HUGE wind pressure to rise upwards from the punch, breaking everything in its way.

The blast was twice as big from his anime counterpart and lingered twice as long, making Denji just whisper a "What the Fuck" as the blast went pass Ochako and Iida who were at the top floor.

Using her Quirk, she easily lifts a stone pillar that was detached from Midoriya's burst of wind.

"Sorry, Iida-kun! Improvised Special Move:  Zero Comet HOME RUN!"

She yells as she uses the stone pillar to knock the debris that rose from Midoriya's punch towards Iida at high speeds, causing Iida to start dodging them. And while he was distracted...

She immediately jumped towards the bomb with zero gravity before hugging the bomb with a relieved face.

"Bomb, acquired!"

"... Ahhhhhh!!! The BOMB!!!"

Iida yells in shock as the siren of a horn rang the end of the practice. Bakugo's shocked face at Midoriya was the final image before the display turned into the result of the practice.

"TEAM A, HERO TEAM WINS!"

The class was speechless at All Might's announcement before Ashido broke the silence.

"Hey! The hero team looks so defeated, but they won the practice?"

"They lost the fight, but won the war, huh?"

Tokoyami gave his piece out as Denji sighed in relief at Ochako not taking any damage at all... Other than her stomach, that is.

"Haaa....... This is seriously giving me so much stress... Gohru, make a reminder to let me train her in martial arts."

"I'm not a fucking Siri, but sure."

"Well, the MVP for this battle was Iida-shonen!"

All Might said as Iida did a spit take, causing Asui to ask him in confusion.

"It's not either of the winners, Ochako or Midoriya?"

"Hmm... Can any one of you give a reason?"

All Might asked the class as Yaoyorozu immediately raised her hand up.

"Yes, All Might-sensei. That's because Iida adapted the most to the context of the training.

From watching the match, it appeared as if Bakugo-san acted on his own because of an obviously personal grudge, not to mention that it was foolish to launch a large-scaled attack indoors especially with a bomb in the building.

In the same way, taking into consideration the damage he received, Midoriya-san's plan was also rash.

As for Uraraka-san, she let her guard down mid-battle, and her final attack was too reckless, especially when the bomb was so close away. If she treated the papier-mâché as a real bomb, then she would not have been able to do something so dangerous.

Iida-san had prepared for his opponent's arrival and assumed it would be a fight over the bomb, which made him late in responding to the final attack."

That seemed to make Iida's day so far as he was shaking with a glee on his face from her words.

"The Hero Team only won due to the fact that this was a training practice instead of an actual situation. They were practically breaking so many rules."

'Well, she is quite cutthroat, isn't she?'

"W-Well, Iida-shonen has parts of him that could be more relaxed, but well... That was spot on, Yaoyorozu-shojo!"

This was the moment that everyone in the class thought the same.

'Sugoi!'

"All right everyone! Let’s change locations of the training building and start the second match!"
