Personally, I consider both of them to have been in the wrong during this episode. Mordecai for his obvious jealousy and uh, killing of Rigby, and Rigby for just being an ass after asking out Margaret, despite knowing Mordecai was just a shy person. Like, Mordecai has been bad in this point in the series (and arguably gets a little worse after this point (won't spoil it)) but not as bad as Rigby is here. But this is a classic episode personally and it's still a learning curve for Mordecai (it's referenced in future episodes).

Like Mordecai was deffo jealous but Rigby was being an ass because he knows Mordo really cares for Margret and was rubbing it in his face the entire time. That would piss me off too. Like Rigby doesn’t give a shit about Margret but was gonna go out with her because he knew it would upset Mordecai. And in my opinion that’s super messed up.
