An old war comrade of Mal's and Zoe's mails his corpse to them and leaves a note asking them to deliver him to his family. This episode deals with the harsh realities of people struggling to get their life back on track after returning to civilian life.

Dearest Jax, gotta ask you a question: Do you LIKE when Willow or whatever she’s calling herself at the moment gets away with the manipulation or do you like to see her fail? Is it that you admire her chutzpah but still want her to fail? I did notice you didn’t jump on the “she should be a PERMANENT member,” movement. You had room in your heart to forgive Wanda and Pietro. Willow’s antics seem to amuse you but you do t want her to win, do you?

...I believe this was the last episode they filmed....right before the scene where they were at the table, with Mal and Zoe talking to Inara about Tracy, the cast and crew had gotten word that the show was cancelled....kinda puts a more poignant perspective on the episode...
