Get your best holiday attire on because we're going to a Christmas party at Nakatomi Plaza! It should be a pretty eventful time! I hear John McClane is going to battle it out with Severus Snape. It's a Merry Christmas for all!

Wishing you all the most wonderful holiday! Yippee-ki-yay!

Die Hard (Full Reaction)

This was such a fun reaction! As dated as some elements of this movie are(Hans' comment about where Arafat gets his suits goes over a lot of reactors' heads, it seems), the story and the action still hold up today. Hans Gruber remains one of the best movie villains of all time thanks to Alan Rickman's fantastic performance. Oh and yes, the reporter in this movie is played by the same actor that was the EPA guy in Ghostbusters, a character that's rumored to be returning in the new "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" which comes out in March. Jax, if you haven't seen any of the sequels, I would definitely recommend the 2nd and 3rd Die Hard movies. But the 4th and 5th are hot garbage, give them a pass. Of COURSE this is a Christmas movie! It's about a guy trying to reconnect with his family over the holidays. It's basically a Hallmark movie with gunfights. I'd be a lucky guy indeed if I was your +1 to the Nakatomi Christmas party, you looked lovely! I hope you have a wonderful holiday, Jax.

"I thought she only worked there six months." She moved to California six months prior to work at that office. It's likely she has worked for the company for longer, and possibly knew him for longer than six months. "Why did he come to the party? Why didn't he go to the house to see his kids?" He was picked up at the airport by the company in a limo. The limo took him to the party. " "Isn't that the first thing you'd assume they would want? (money) They were, at that time, assumed to be terrorists. Terrorists in general are not interested in money. "Was this guy in Ghostbusters?" Yes. He played Mr. Peck. (It's true. This man has no dick.) Are the terrorists able to talk to eachother on a different radio channel? Oh yes they should be able to talk on different channels. But of course they don't for the sake of the story. NITPICKS: when the fake security guard at the front desk dialed 911 on the cell phone, he pressed the numbers and then held the receiver up to his ear WITHOUT pressing the "SEND" button, which is required on a cell phone like that to make a call. When Hans pushes the head of "now I have a machine gun" guy over, he closes his eye (despite the character being dead). Several times we will hear someone talking on one of the hand held radios and then someone else will begin talking over that person from another radio. That is not possible on those radios. They are push-button and are not duplex. Only one person can talk at a time. TRIVIA: This is Alan Rickman's first major film role.
