I can see why Beetlejuice is a cult classic. Michael Keaton's performance is phenomenal. The fast paced dialogue, witty one-liners, and outrageous characters make this film a stand out. It's directed by Tim Burton, which feels obvious in retrospect. The score is by Danny Elfman. Overall, this film feels a bit strange, dreamlike, and timeless. I have mixed feelings towards this film. On the one hand, the characters played by Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin, and Winona Ryder are delightful! On the other hand, the titular character is, in a word, disgusting! Yes, Michael Keaton's performance is outstanding, but I find the movie difficult to enjoy because his character is so ignoble and sophomoric. Yuck! 🤢

Nice! I love this classic. As a kid, this was right up my alley. Guess what's changed. Personally, I still blame that Toys-R-Us song. I'm really digging the direction things are going for channel too. Exciting times are right around the corner.

I agree that Keaton's performance is great, but completely get how his character could be off putting. I think the real star of this movie is the killer dog! He needs a sequel. 🤣
