Watching badass Sarah Connor in this movie definitely awakened something in young me 😅

The CGI in this movie isn't just "great for its time", it's amazing for ANY time. That's because the original artists literally wrote their own code, with all their own calculus, to make the graphics work -- I mean, this was before modern software and loadable packages, so everything was custom. You either knew math AND art, or you didn't get the job. The Corridor Crew VFX team on YouTube recently tried to recreate the scene where the T-1000 walks through the jail-bar door and they couldn't do it. They tried two different approaches with two different artists, and nothing held a candle to the original because the software wasn't meant to re-merge a split object back into a singular cohesive one.
