Village (Patreon)

An updated version of the village our heroes are currently in in BTB-needed it for the last page of ch4-thought I'd give you guys a preview. I updated the design slightly vs ch1 version-beefed up the defences a bit ( it's a very isolated settlement so I thought they should have some okay defences). This village was originally a military camp which the Emperor began converting into a stronghold -to be a bastion along the great highway he was building to help take back the wastelands. However-the Emperor died long before the project could be completed and the new ruler drew his forces back into the imperial heartland. Some people decided to stay in the small settlement that had grown up to support the garrison and from this the village was born . Thus the village has signs of a grander design beyond the simple military camp that was built (see the wider section of ditch and the small stone towers-the beginnings of something greater). The existing defences have been maintained by the villagers and more houses have been built. The settlement remains isolated and small-having roughly 150 citizens living in the village and the surrounding areas.
