The Adventure Begins - Part 1 - [Goblin Warren] (Patreon)

Having been hired to clear out an old smugglers cave of some goblins, the party finds themselves at the entrance to the cave. A foul smell wafts out upon periodic, warm blasts of air. The cave used to see heavy use, so the terrain is fairly firm and clear of debris.

Partway in is a small camp where many of the goblins gather to drink, eat, and breed. This area smells the worst of all, even with the fresh, salty air blasting in from the nearby ocean. Piles of bones and rotting flesh litter this area, among other clumps of disgusting detritus. Moving towards the ocean leads to some small ledges that go right down to the water, where a rather large raft can be found. A small cave off to the side has been untouched for many years now. The water leading to it has a surprisingly strong current, and has killed more than one unwitting explorer.

Turning back and continuing deeper into the cave leads to a small "throne" room where the latest goblin chief can usually be found, preaching to his loyal subjects. Once the party has handled the situation and is ready to head back, they are greeted with the ruckus chorus of a goblinoid warband marching straight towards the cave entrance! The only choice is to stand and fight an impossible battle, or to quietly flee upon the raft....
