Hi everyone!

We've already hit November - my birthday month, yay! The last month has been PACKED with writing and asset creation, so we have a lot to share!

The Sun and the Moon

Writing and editing

The writing for The Divine Speaker: The Sun and the Moon is now complete!

We originally started the script in 2019 and finished it in 2020, but this year we decided to go over it again for many reasons (to update the lore, make sure it lined up with the main game, and to change it from first to third person).

While we were at it, we decided to add an extra entire storyline to the project - Lucius story. We've been wanting to tell it for awhile and the prequel seemed like the best place to include it.

The story sat at around 35,000 words before... but now is 80,000 words long! It was a major undertaking and the story had definitely benefited from a third pass over it.

I hope you'll all enjoy the extra effort we've put into it!

Let's take a look at some previews:

Lucius' scenes are definitely very fun to write!

What's this? Another fan favorite character joining the fray?

After all this time, we'll finally get a glimpse of Azuros!

Art

Fuyuure is still working on CGs for the prequel, including NSFW ones! There are two NSFW scenes in the game now.

And now, the latest BG that Vui is working on:

The throne room of Sid Caeham - another upgraded BG from the main game. An important scene here takes place for Lucius.

Programming

We're working on finishing the implementation of Lucius' first two major scenes in the game, and then the next beta build for the game will be released.

He has four scenes in total - all of them quite long!

The Divine Speaker: A Bounty Hunter's First Christmas

It's finally time to announce a project we've been working on for a little while now - our very first Patreon exclusive DLC, A Bounty Hunter's First Christmas!

This Leos/Raen centric story is set during the Winter Solstice in Sid Caeham and is set a few months after the main game ends - it's Leos' fun, holiday themed afterstory.

Writing and editing

Writing on this project is nearly complete. We're expecting it to be around an hour long, with one or two NSFW scenes. You'll meet a host of characters once again and get a peek into what they've been up to since the end of the game. You might even get a few hints about where they will head to in the future...

Zarryn has a very important job for Leos and Raen... I wonder what it is?

Art

We don't have any art to show yet but we're planning two brand new CGs and we've also hired a mini/chibi CG artist to create three mini CGs for the project.

You'll be seeing some sketches and such throughout November!

Programming

We're started the programming on this project, and because it's not too long we don't expect it to take long.

Saying that, I spent a few hours yesterday making a.... rock paper scissors minigame. Yes. This was very important.

It's actually a little embarrassing how many times I've played this already. I never though playing rock paper scissors against Leos would be so much fun.

It's a silly adventure about Leos' first ever "Christmas" that I think you'll all have fun with.

Make sure to be on the correct tier next month if you'd like to play! It will be available year round though :)

Dreambound

Art

On the art side, Sinran is working on a mix of character sprites and CGs for the Crow route. CGs for his route are nearly complete, and then we'll be moving onto Ivan's route after.

Here's a little teaser of the sprite Sinran is working on now:

This is Noah's older brother, who is away at the start of the game.

Next we have some CG previews, starting with a CG featuring Noah and August.

In the background department, we are around 90% complete with ALL backgrounds featured in the game. We have some "escape room" backgrounds to go, but they're more dependant on the writing for that section being complete, so they are on hold until we fully figure out how each one will work.

Here's the school rooftop because let's be honest, the highschool section wouldn't be complete without a visit to the roof.

Programming

Programming wise we're currently working on the second chapter of the game. Chapter two takes place directly after the demo ends - resuming Noah's story just after we've met Crow.

We hope to release chapter two as our first beta build before the end of the year. Chapter two is the last chapter of the common route before it branches out into the three available routes.

As we said previously, the recommended route order is Crow > Ivan > Kaine > Secret route (which will release some time after the main game's release), but you're free to play in any order you like.

Writing

The common route has been fully written and mostly edited, and Crow's route is around 70% complete. We've decided to adjust and add some additional scenes into his route, so we're currently going through all of his route again to edit.

Ivan and Kaine's routes  are in the planning stages - we have the base idea for the direction each will take, but we're working out the story beats and pacing still.

Our first preview is during chapter two - you'll get to spend some more time with Crow, if you pickt he right option!

And now we have a preview from Crow's route - it seems like Ivan gets Noah into some kind of trouble...

Wow, that sure is a lot! So, you'd have to be on Solaris tier or up to play the DLC, right?

twoandahalfstudios

That's right, all our Patreon exclusive DLCs/games will be available on the Solaris tier. We hope to do one for Fawn/Cyne each next year, too.
