September 2022 Monthly Update (Patreon)

We've hit September, and it's time for another monthly update! We'll be chatting a bit about all the games we have in progress at the moment, and future games a little towards the end, too!

Writing and editing

Still writing writing writing and even more revising on the prequel! It's nearly complete now, but we're just ironing out a few kinks and adding the last few extra scenes.

I wonder what famous healer we know that stayed in Lastmere for some time...?

Art

On the art front, it's been mostly new character sketches and lots of backgrounds. Here's a look at an updated background for the prequel:

Dreambound

Writing and editing

We've decided on general themes for each route, which has really helped us to further develop the stories we want to present with each character.

It goes something like this:

Crow - Dreams

Ivan - Bordering each

Kaine - Reality

Which will make more sense when you play - each route will spend more time in its respective theme. Crow's route will be the most dream-filled, while Ivan will spend time in both dreams and reality. Lastly, Kaine's route is anchored in reality.

Each story will feel very different and go to different places because of this. We also expect you will need to play all three to experience the full story.

The suggested play order is as follows: Crow -> Ivan -> Kaine.

Apart from that, we have also been editing chapter 2, adding in some additional choices and scenes as we go.

Programming

As I said above, I've been working on editing chapter 2 of Dreambound the last couple of days. We're trying to prepare the first beta to go out shortly after our Kickstarter ends. Here's some new screenshots:
