August Patreon Wrap Up (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

This is the first of many monthly Patreon wrap ups to come! We'll be using this free post for links to important posts that were made during the month, as well as general chatting about the Patreon and our plans.

How is this different to our monthly devlogs? Our devlogs will focus on our games and our progress, and will remain paid posts. Our Patreon wrap ups won't have any game updates, except for talking about what we posted for the month. It's a chance for us (both me, Gabby, and you, our lovely patrons) to chat about what's been going on. I'll occasionally ask questions too, so feel free to comment and answer!

★ Patreon Refresh ★

This post is actually a part of our Patreon refresh. You may have already noticed that we've updated the tiers and graphics! We'll be posting a little more about this next month, but lets chat a little about it now, too.

You can go check out the new graphics, text and tier designs yourself, too. We're really happy with the overall theme and presentation now, especially with how well it fits in with our brand aesthetic.

As part of this refresh, we've moved around some of the tiers, making our rewards more accessible than ever before. 

Here's some of the additions and changes to the tiers:

» New Tier Names

We've made a change to our tier names so that they can stay relevant after The Divine Speaker is out! Rather than be named after characters, we've gone with a celestial theme! 

» NSFW Poll

We're doing a new NSFW poll that everyone on the Solaris tier ($15) and up can vote on. The Solaris tier is still our NSFW tier, so will also have all the NSFW CG sketches that appear in the future.

We're starting with the main boys, one of which will be drawn by Fuyuure next month.

» Beta Build

The beta build is now also included on the Solaris tier! This makes the TDS beta and every other beta we have in the future available to more people. We'll also include Patreon exclusive DLC on this tier.

» SFW Art Poll Suggestions

We still run 2x monthly art polls (illustrated by our promo artist Alyssa) every month! As you know, one of these has a theme decided by us, and the other has suggestions by our lovely Patrons. Now everyone on the Veritate tier will have access to adding their suggestions! We can't wait to see what everyone adds!

As you can see, we've put a lot of thought into how we would rearrange our Patreon to best suit all of you. We hope that you'll all enjoy the new monthly 18+ artworks in particular!

★ Content Overview ★

This month we posted two new monthly illustrations from Alyssa with the themes of "Summertime Fun Leos" and "Childhood Veras". We hope you enjoyed these! It's great to have such a talented artist on board to draw some of these more fun, chill moments between our characters.

We also posted some new character sprites (BtA), completed CGs (TDS), full CG sketches (TDS) and a cropped CG sketch (TDS). Usually we don't crop any CG sketches, but some of the upcoming ones are very spoiler-y and the game will be better played without seeing the full things yet! 

Next month (September) we plan to put out an update to the beta with additional voice acting (Leos, possibly Cyne route) and CGs (all routes).

Tomorrow we'll also be putting up the September 2021 themed art poll (still need to decide on the theme! You're always free to comment your ideas ;) ) as well as the suggestion thread for those on the Veritate tier. Super excited to see what you guys come up with!

We're considering posting more screenshots and things on the Patreon - how do you feel about that? We wouldn't take away anything else (CGs/sketches/etc), but just have some more teaser and preview posts during the month! 

We've also added a new goal for hiring ANOTHER promo artist to create monthly wallpapers. Actually, we're still thinking about the goals that will come after that... we want to be able to do short webcomic episodes, but I'm still looking into the costs associated and how long they would take. Plus, I've never wrote anything in that format, so it'll take a little longer to work out.

We'd also like to add a large goal that would allow us to start looking ahead to after TDS and starting production on art assets for another game. To be totally honest and frank with you, the part of game production (for me) that takes the longest is the art. It's also something I can't have a direct hand in doing, seeing as I'm not an artist. However, this does put us at an advantage, so to speak, in that we can start the artworks in the pre-production phase, putting us ahead of schedule in that regard, without affecting the production of art in our other games! So, it would be nice to start looking at that, when the funds allow it.
