Hello everyone!

I'm Gabmag, one of a team of two (and a half) people developing The Divine Speaker.

I thought we could start with a little information on the game, and how we have been developing it.

We've been wanting to create a visual novel for years now, but we've never came up with the right idea. Until it hit me.

"What about a story of someone that's lived in a closed off area their entire lives, safe from the outside world, and is suddenly thrown out?"

We all loved this idea, and have worked on it since then. The first worry was ho we were going to keep our town, Aurelia Cavella, enclosed.

At first we thought "definitely walls."

Then we remembered a famous anime with a very similar feel to it...

Eventually, we decided that instead of it being closed off, it would be surrounded by a dense forest, that the inhabitants believed went on till the end of the planet. 

Since then, we have gradually been adding more detail and lore to the game.

We actually have a 30 page document just on background information! We hope to include most of this in our lore/art book that will be made.

So, this week a few things have happened.

1. We launched our social media campaign. We're slowly trying to connect with like minded people and build some hype for our kickstarter!

2. We received our first set of completed sprites! While we have the characters sketched out, we're still waiting for a few more sprites to be done before we can showcase them.

3. Our composer, Efe Tozan, sent us the demo tracks for our opening song, and two in-game songs. We'll be sharing some of these soon!

4. Writing! So much writing! We're still writing the script as of now, and probably will be for quite awhile longer.
