I really appreciate the donations that all of you give me month to month, and I need it now more than ever in these challenging times. Life has become increasingly expensive this past year, and my work hours are being reduced. In order to attract and retain more Patrons, I would like to make more of my work Patreon exclusives, particularly progressions. I really need to reconsider the lines I draw between the Free Art at dA, and the All-Tier Treats and Stills going forward.

*sigh* Wow, Patreon has language police now. Apparently "giveaway" triggers a fucking warning that says "it looks like you might be promoting a raffle, and that's bad, mmkay" and now I feel a rant coming on, but not about them...

Frankly, I am tired as fuck of the idea that erotic art "shouldn't have value", and I am sick of the weak argument floated at dA that it's somehow noble to give these fantasies away. Followers of my work on DeviantArt and Patreon are mostly a quiet bunch, but at least on Patreon I feel like there's a chance that all of the people are grown-ass adults who "get it" and I can feel the love in a way that counts from each one of you. Anyone can click an "add to faves/watch" link, it takes LOVE to part with your money. Even a dollar says more than a like.

Sometimes I look at the total support that you have given and it gives me the strength to continue even when I'm at my lowest. A few of you have kept the ball in the air since Year 1 and I have to find a way to honor that before my time runs out.

I need what's going on here to continue, and I need what's going on here in order to continue.

You totally deserve to be paid for the art you produce, services and art should not just be free because people are used to pirating from companies that actually make a boat load of money. Also I work in finance and the raffle thing is legit important. Raffles are incredibly risky to process for and unless it's sanctioned by Patreon their processor would probably flip out at a random auction.

Thank you for your thoughtful response to my rant. I was totally caught off-guard by the AI quietly reading my post as I wrote it, lol, but I can see how a "pledging for random draw for prizes" could be problematic.
