I doubt the Changeling Bodyguard can deny that the two of you are close now, or would be willing to try anything in the presence of two alicorns and a Young Queen. So I think the Changeling Bodyguard doesn't have a choice other than to hear you out. And you have your sister who can back you up. She saw how distraught you were when you found out the truth. Explain that before now, your only knowledge of changeling came from your parents who were biased because of their past experience with them. Perhaps as a show of good faith, you offer yourself to the bodyguard so that he can punish you how he see's fit.

I think it's time. Tell him that, growing up, all you ever knew about changelings was the horrible stories from your parents, and the books saying what terrible, lying monsters they were. So, when when a changeling teleported in front of you and dropped a letter while shouting "Find me in Ponyville!", you acted on the all of that terrible information, and became a monster yourself.

Tell 'him' the truth, start at the very beginning from the first time you set eyes on young Queen when she teleported into your home and shouted to find her in Ponyville, you misunderstood the situation and her intentions, you acted foolishly and regret everything.
