Use one action point to fly to the wounded changeling, use your tears at the cost of 2 health to heal him, then rest.

I still insist on resting though. Since those timberwolves seem to be content on waiting patiently for their prey to come down.

This is critical. You can't second guess yourself here.. fly up into the tree heal the changeling first. Costing you 2HP then rest for the little time you have.

Use what's left of your energy to fly up to the changeling, use your tears to heal him, and rest in the tree with the changeling for the time being. Once you've gotten more energy back, then you can make a plan to escape.

Let's try and heal the changeling, perhaps he'll be able to fight the wolves when he's not so wounded.

So,I'll sum : You're a phoenix so technically you're immortal and you can reborn when you died. You are searching for changeling bodyguard which must be hidden on this big tree, probably he's wounded seriously. Changeling can fly like a pegasus but need enough energy to do it, and there is no way to flee by ground. So you can fly toward the tree and stay out of range from any TimberWolf, and spend your last energy to heal the changeling. Technically, you'll just reborn after that, right ?

Changlings can transform into anything they see right, why not make him turn into a phoenix so he can fly out of there.

Enter the tree by the top to avoid the timberwolfs and TALK to the changeling first. Tell him who send you and that you are here to help. Then in fonction of his status use healing tears or revival feather.

Go big or go home, I guess. Fly in from the top of the tree, and find the changeling. If he's been moving along the ground so much, it's likely because he has an injured wing. Try to heal that with your tears, while telling him that you followed his blood trail to help him, but now don't have the strength to escape on your own, and need him to carry you out to safety.

The first priority is to heal the changeling. He's left quite a trail of blood, so at best he's going to be severely weakened, and at worst he's bled to death already and you'll need to use revival feathers. Either way you're not going to get him out of that tree safely in his current state. But once you heal him, he should be able to fly away, and either he'll be willing to carry you out while you sleep or you can take a nap in the tree where the timberwolves can't get you so you'll have enough energy to leave the forest without passing out.

Use 1 energy to fly up to the tree where the wolves can't reach you and then use your tears to heal the bodyguard or worse case scenario the revival feathers he isn't responding.

Fly into the tree to look for the injured changeling. Keep in mind that the tree itself could be the changeling. Once you find the changeling, use Healing Tear (or Revival Feathers if necessary). Afterwords, explain the situation to the changeling. Now that the changeling is healed, perhaps this can be a good chance to rest.

Fly up into the tree, it looks to be too tall for even a combined timberwolf. When you fine your target then you can rest, the two of you have a much better chance of making it out then just one of you. That, and you can use your amulet to explain your mission to them.

Fly to the top of the tree and slowly descend through the branches till you find the changeling.

Fly above trees then land on your "target". You must know how changeling bodyguard is stable or he need first aid.

Your exhausted, but healthy. The latter will be questionable when your done healing your target. If you don't see him when you get in the tree, speak of Y.Q., he will show himself, he has to. Healing requires no energy, but this will be your last action. Make this concern part of your conversation. This guard is an expert, he may have a plan, and he will likely be willing to repay the massive favor your doing him.
