You might as well, flying around to look for Spike is inefficient. But I don't know if the sense of smell will be effective if even the real diamond dogs couldn't smell you.

I'd suggest to try it. It may help to have a diamond dog form. But be cautious, young queen. Just as you're senses will be heightened, so are the other diamond dog's senses. They may smell you're presence and question why the scent just appeared out of nowhere. But perhaps you can trust this diamond dog, since you've been there long enough for him to already sense your presence, but hasn't tried anything yet.

Before transforming into a diamond dog you need something that has Spike's smell encrusted on it, so you want to head back to Sweet Apple Acres first and once you have such an object transform into a diamond dog and search for him.

No harm in trying, though your scent might give you away, try rolling in the dirt first, it might mask your scent
