Better go to the Nanny first. In this sort of condition, pulling your mother away from direct contact with her commanders isn't a good idea. Even if she can keep contact while coming with you, it will still take longer to get to her than getting to the Nanny. Besides, it will probably give your bodyguard a little more time to make his report on your activities.

On the obvious implication that "nanny" will win by a landslide... I'll suggest this instead: ask him if he has any ideas you might be able to pass on to military personnel that might not have been noticed before, specifically defensive suggestions. It could help, and it's point for him already. Merphys law states that no plan survives first contact. Prepare for problems in advance if possible.
