Something many artists, including myself struggle with is being able to draw fabric without having to guess and make up where folds might or might not appear. What I tend to do is study a specific pose like how you see in the example above, and I repeat it until I feel more comfortable drawing it. The reason I did this demo was because I drew a character with their legs outstretched and I was not happy with how the folds were done, so I spent around an hour and a half just repeating it over and over. The result, I am now confident in drawing characters with their legs outstretched, haha.

Key things to remember

-Different shirts/sweaters/pants have different seam lines.
-Remember that gravity is having an effect on where the folds appear.
-Lifting your leg forward means your knee is pulling the fabric from your butt area, thus scrunching up at your hips. Lifting your arm means your elbow is pulling on the fabric at your armpit region, thus scrunching up at your shoulders.

Things to do to improve your fabric drawing skills

Take some time (30-60 minutes) to just sketch these out quickly. These specific images helped me a ton, and I think they will for you too. If you must, repeat some of the images multiple times until you better memorize it.
