When I saw SalKitten opening up for commissions again, I knew just what I wanted to get! I felt a little bad with how much I went back and forth with her on this one adjusting it, but I really wanted to try and match the feel of the scene. Still, she was very kind about it all and worked closely with me every step of the way to get me a piece I was happy with.

One thing that's actually been bugging me with several pieces lately is, well, Lith's coloration. He's a black cat, but a lot of artists tend to draw him very gray, sometimes even light gray. I understand it's important to lighten it up a little so you can still show volume, of course-- but black cats are one of the few things that can be so black you can't make out volume on them in real life! So I think I'm going to start pushing for a blacker Lith in the future, at least to try and keep close to his proper appearance at all.

In any case, I've already got two pieces for the next release ready, with more on the way, so I'm feeling pretty good on the art front right now!
