Happy Halloween! My costume this year -- one I didn't even have to buy anything to complete, as it turns out -- is a zombie! Admittedly that's more due to lack of sleep and some busy-ness at work, but the point stands!

Nevertheless, I've been working when I can on the Halloween story I promised, and while I'm not quite finished with the whole thing, I'm here to bring the first half to you-all as a Harvest Night treat! The second half should only be a few days from now -- gotta polish it up -- and will not be a paid post.
