How about the following story idea: 2 friends/office workers meet regularly to compare their successes with each other. With every step the two rivals climb up the career ladder, they also become bigger, bustier and more powerful. When one of the women has achieved something, the other has to step up a notch, until both of them have the company/city/maybe even more ;) literally at their feet.
