The Lizard's Favorite Swiftie Moments of the Year (Patreon)

Happy Holidays to all the snakes out there!!!!!!!!!!!! This time of year gets me thinking about a lot of things..........chief of all my favorite moments of the year!!! Here on EOAS we have chronicled soooo much of the mental illness that has occurred this year, and you guys for real...this year has been one for the BOOKS!!!!!!!!! She has truly taken over the world this year, and it's so funny to think about how we thought she was the queen of the universe during the 1989 era. We never could've imagined her being any bigger than that, and yet here we are today. Honestly, I had no idea what was going to happen this year when it all kicked off. I didn't even know the Eras Tour would be popping off like this. I didn't even know she'd break up with Joe.  There's a lot to sift through but here are MY absolute favorite moments of the year, some deranged, some amazing, and some, well...cricket....

1.) Taylor saying she is "always posting" about politics at Zack and I's show on Chicago night one. Many of you may remember that Chicago was the first set of shows occurring in JUNE, AKA Pride Month, and as we all know, Taylor PRIDES herself in being the number one ally that has ever allied. Zack and I had talked about how she might take the microphone and start spouting, but honestly, when she did, we never could've predicted what was going to come out of her mouth...every show there's a lot of stuff I forget and then some things that I have burned into my memory for all eternity no matter how much time goes by...one of those things is me turning to Zack during the speech and repeating, with notes of incredulity in my tone, "....always posting?" and Zack IJBOL'ing in that crowd..I mean we had to cheer....what else was there to do....

2.) Demi Lovato posting Taylor dancing to her VMA performance on her Instagram story and thus ending the 15 year long one-sided feud that Demi has been having with a cardboard cut-out of Taylor. I never thought I would see the fucking day....when I was watching the show and video feeds live and saw Taylor shaking ass to Demi's performance, I chuckled to myself because all I could think of was how Taylor legit has no fucking clue that Demi hates her, or, more likely, perhaps knows and doesn't really care. She'll shake ass if she wants to shake ass, whether the person singing hates her or not....but when Demi posted it....I knew....Happy Xmas, War Is Over!!!!! 

3.) Speak Up Now petition / fans wanting to put Taylor under a conservatorship for dating Matty Healy. I mean......................hot off the heels of the Free Britney movement???????/ You guys are chomping at the bit to put ANOTHER woman under the control of somebody else????? Did we learn NOTHING?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4.) "I love you. You know who you are. This is for you." We were all there that day. We saw it with our own two eyes. To this day nobody knows what it meant, why she did that, if she was coerced into saying it, if she was just doing a bit, if she was dead serious, or even if she was aware she was doing it at all.....................Eras Nashville was a fugue state that we all went through collectively. 

5.) Taylor removing Invisible String from the set the week of JOEVER and never ever bringing it up or mentioning it, let alone playing it, again. I think that song might be dead. I sincerely think she took it out back and shot it. Well...........ONWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

6.) When Zack and I were recording a podcast episode and Zack showed me the picture of Matty Healy at Eras Nashville, confirming the deranged deuxmoi blind item that claimed that "Matty is going to Taylor's Eras show to hard launch their relationship." If you haven't seen the video of us discovering that...........well...............YOU NEED TO SEE IT. The scream I scrumpt could be heard from all around the world. 

7.) Taylor taking sides in Joever #2 : The Re-Up (Sophie Turner's Version) (Feat. Joe Jonas) [From The Vault] by taking Sophie out to dinner the week the news broke. This was the second plane that hit the Invisible String tower. That song...gone. Seriously. 

8.) Tree Paine trying (and failing....) to destroy Deuxmoi over the constant tin-hatting of Joe and Taylor's alleged "secret wedding." I talk about this a bit in a future episode on The Lizard Review coming out on December 31st, (subscribe...?? Subscribe queens??? Subscribe??????) but I fear Deuxmoi is in way too high of a demand to ever truly be "cancelled" or whatever term you'd like to use. It's like Ziwe having George Santos on her show - people will continue to crave content from deuxmoi and George Santos, and thus continue to give them platforms. Frankly, Tree Paine just introduced legions more people to Deuxmoi than she did anything to genuinely harm it. Who knows what'll happen in 2024, but for right now...Deuxmoi remains stronger than ever....and emboldened by the fact that she knows she can just keep right onnnnnnnnn postin. Donald Trump voice : SAD! 

9.) You're Losing Me. What a weekend that was!!!!!!!! Sitting on my twitter timeline listening to some random girl's space which was being broadcast from the parking lot of MetLife stadium because the song was only available on a special edition that you could ONLY PURCHASE physically AT the merch truck. Frankly I actually don't know if this was a good moment or a cricket moment but it was definitely a moment...

10.) Out Of The Woods / Is It Over Now mashup. THAT WAS INSANEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE TRULY INSANEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
