Definitely his worst album imo but doesn’t mean it’s not one of the best albums ever made still

This album has aged amazingly imo, gets better every time I go back to it. Duckworth and Fear are 2 of the greatest storytelling tracks ever. Since you looked up Kaytranada you should definitely check out his music, he’s an amazing producer that mixes house and hip hop in a very cool way.

This was a fantastic reaction! I could see people being somewhat “let down” since it was a lot more of a mainstream influenced sound for the album but it is my favorite Kendrick album.

nope, LUST. is also my favourite on the album, perfectly depicts how black Americans would have felt at the time in an almost haunting way

pls!! pls!! It's such an underrated album and a gem! Q's is a labelmate of Kendrick, Kendrick used to be signed to Top Dawg Entertainment. They got a few songs as a "group" called "Black Hippy" with two other members of TDE, Jay Rock and Ab Soul. TDE had an golden era with all 4 four of them and still is with SZA.
