Sapphire (Patreon)

Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire (Which translates to The Legend of the Galactic Police Woman Sapphire) is a shoot 'em up created by CAProductions and Hudson Soft for the PC Engine (Turbografx 16).

Yesterday was its 25 anniversary and wanted to draw something about it. The game is famous among collectors and shmup enthusiasts for 2 things: 

1) The game pushes the limits of the console with tons of effects thought impossible for the hardware and plays great.

2) Because it was a late release there are a limited number of copies around and thanks to its fame it can costs A LOT, like almost $1000 if not more
